The Society Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia was reborn in the 1950s and 60s, transforming the then blighted historic district into one of the most significant heritage districts in the country. As part of this transformation, 18th and 19th century rowhomes were revived and modern rowhomes were designed and constructed to complement the cadence of the neighborhood, but be representative of their own time and place. The Hollinger residence is an example of such a development. Designed by Louis Sauer and built in 1968, the home suffered several unfortunate renovations over the last 40 years, but the new owners could recognize its potential and turned to Moto to revive the interior for contemporary living.
