With the intention of restoring the original character of the residence, while updating the floorplan to accommodate a more modern and open series of spaces, the home was stripped back to the bare elements, removing interior walls and exterior cladding. The interior was reconfigured to consolidate several smaller rooms, while putting the focus back on the interior/exterior relationship intended of the original design. The exterior was reclad in wood siding, with new windows, and careful landscaping to protect the 200+ year old Oak trees on the site.
